The Buying Of The Democratic Presidential Nomination And The Selling Out Of The Democratic Party

It really doesn’t matter how Donna Brazile is framing her role in how last year’s Democratic primaries went down, and I’m not giving her a pass in that role. She helped Clinton attain the nomination as surely as the DNC did, which in fact Brazile took over as interim chairwoman in July 2016. Facts is facts. though, and the facts (OK–allegedly) are these: Hillary Clinton through her campaign bought and paid for the Democratic presidential nomination, along with funds provided by the DNC (via Debbie Wasserman Schultz). How ironic that Donnie essentially did the same thing on his side but using other people’s money and virtually none from his own campaign finances, which were relatively minuscule.

Clinton’s problem was that she didn’t have enough money to buy the election, which is besides the point because the Russians wouldn’t have sold it to her at any price. But now Bernie’s motive in knuckling under to the Clinton campaign now becomes understandable and forgivable. After Brazile told him about that August 2015 which gave Hillary Clinton control of the DNC and therefore the entire party and nomination, Bernie saw the game was rigged against him. He had no choice but to fall in line like the good foot soldier they had made him, throw his support and voter base her way, and hope for the best. Unfortunately for him and all of us, the election was already rigged for Trump by the Russians. (If anyone still doubts this, continue to view and listen to that vile scum. There is no way someone that inarticulate and that stupid could ever be elected president because NO ONE that inarticulate and stupid has EVER been elected president in our lifetime. And that includes George W. Bush, who was appointed president in 2000 by the Supreme Court and beat out John Kerry in 2004 by some very questionable vote tabulating in Ohio. But that’s a whole other story I’ve written about at length over the past years.

I have no idea whether Bernie was surprised, gratified, or dismayed by the number of us liberal Democratic voters who refused to march behind him last November. But in an un-rigged election Clinton had more than enough popular–which also translated into electoral votes–to win the election. Show me where in modern times the candidate with three million more votes lost in the electoral college fair and square. It didn’t happen because it’s never happened.

But I admit that all of this is as may be, which means meaningless. Bernie is once again an Independent, as he always intended to be had he lost the nomination. The Democrats are as polarized in fractionated (yes, the definition of that word provides the exact imagery I’ve intended) camps as the Republicans. The difference being, the GOP virtually controls the entire political process and the corporate media in this country. And the GOPers who oppose Trump are dropping out of their political careers like flies on a rotting corpse. But the ones who take their place will continue to march in goose step, I mean, LOCKstep behind whoever is in the White House. So don’t be expecting any major Democratic victories next year or in 2020, much less a unified Democratic Party. That was the price we all paid for the Clinton presidential nomination.

A Strong Case For Treason

“The fundamental question now isn’t about Trump’s lies, or intelligence leaks, or inadvertent collection of Trump communications. Rather, the crucial question is as monumental as it is simple: Was there treason?”

I’ve been stating for months that Trump may be impeached and convicted–even by the GOP-controlled Congress–for treason over his actions with Putin and the Russians. Maybe this is why he was elected president, to put him out of our misery for good and all while he gets what he’s always deserved. We’ll see.
