Trump And Ryan Prove Comedy Is Easy, Governing Is Hard

trump ryan

It’s great to see two overly-cocky, buffoon blowhards brought down in front of the world. Paul Ryan thought the AHCA was a done deal. It’s a poor leader who overestimates his leadership abilities. But then the intelligence and abilities of Ryan have always been overestimated by the his own party and by the corporate media. If it wasn’t for his outsized ego based on no tangible evidence of any foundation for it, he would resign the Speakership. But only a total idiot would choose to be Speaker of the House with this GOP in the majority, Ryan has been that idiot since October 2015.

Trump’s blaming the failure of the bill on the Democrats. Trump came into his fraudulently-won presidency thinking it was all government by executive order, that he would run the federal government and the entire country as just mere Trump corporate subsidiaries. Except for the hard core delusional who still think Trump’s doing a great job, his own party now has proof of his ineptitude and his failure to grasp reality as he lives in his delusional world within his suite at the Mar-A-Lago.

Both men have been shown that it’s easy to oppose and talk big in superlatives and lies. In other words, comedy is easy, actual governing is hard, very hard. And neither are cut out fo the work.

Now, the only real and present danger is Turtle Man McConnell fast tracking the confirmation of Neil Gorsuch to SCOTUS. Not sure if the coming Democratic filibuster will do nothing more than delay that vote but with this display of the total lack of Trump and Ryan’s influence on their own party, maybe the Dems have a shot providing another embarrassing setback for the GOP if somehow they can turn aside the Gorsuch nomination, which is a long shot.

Paul Ryan, The Naked Emperor Walking Around Masquerading As The House Speaker

paul-ryan
It’s clear that Paul Ryan is probably the most laughably ineffectual and clueless Speaker of the House in history. His own party has no respect nor regard for him or his leadership “skills”. He’s clearly the naked Emperor walking around the House while many of his colleagues ridicule and deride him behind his back. He has been elected to two terms as Speaker because no other Republican wanted the job.

This slap in the face to both him and Trump is most richly deserved. Neither one of these dangerous clowns understand even the fundamentals of how politics works in this country. And that is what is currently saving us from the meanness and pain their self-serving egos and ambitions are intent on inflicting on us. If only enough evidence would be gathered and published to justify the Constitutional imperative for overturning last year’s election results so that we get rid of Mike Pence, too.

Jason Chaffetz, Just Another Elitist Snob Republican Politician Destroying The Country

Chaffetz
Ok, the guy’s an ass because he’s your typical elitist right wing snob Republican politician who will never have to choose between the two. Chaffetz is out of Utah but unfortunately he has the power to kill access to healthcare for people nationwide wide. We can post complaints about him and his ilk on social media websites all day, every day, but it will not make one bit of difference because their constituents will still vote to reelect them. To voters like those, no matter how bad their lives are made by the Republicans they keep in office, they fear liberals and Democrats far more. To the average Republican voter, no matter what hell they’re put through during the dance (should they even be aware of it) they’ll stick with the ones who brung ’em.

Contending that there should be a choice is what makes him and the Republicans both venal and murderous. They view health care as a commodity, something to be purchased if one chooses to. They don’t view it as a human right and as a core function of any enlightened government to provide at no cost to its citizens. I see that Republicans are murderous because they plan to limit the poor’s access to Medicaid. In addition, for those whose income is too high to qualify for Medicaid, their Obamacare replacement will boost health care premiums and costs even higher, because everything legislation they pass that promises to increase competition and lower costs actually do the opposite of both. Look at the costs of airfare, cell phone service, cable TV, and…healthcare, every other industry where mergers and takeovers were allowed to run rampant (the Democrats being equally guilty in this). Don’t buy into the analysis that Obamacare had nothing to do with the original Koch brothers’ Heritage Foundation healthcare plan pushed by Robert Dole and then implemented by Massachusetts under Governor Mitt Romney. The whole thing is Republican through and through except for the prohibition against denying people with pre-existing conditions and the Medicaid expansion (which many Republican governors refused to implement).

And now those who giveth plan to taketh away come 2020. Healthcare will cost more for everyone but members of Congress, the Prez and the VP, and, of course, the wealthy. The rest of us will have less choice and more costs. And then the Republicans plan to destroy both Social Security and Medicare in the very same fashion If only national elections were like an open primary where everyone could vote wherever and for whoever they chose. But if the Republicans have their way, in about ten years it will be only those who they have designated as deserving to vote who will rubber stamp all elections as Republican victories. When that comes about, what Trump is currently doing to destroy the federal government and this country will only be a precursor to irrevocable and fatal damage. You thought things were getting bad under Trump? Just wait…

It’s A Third World (Country) After All

money-bags-500x390

Today the United States of America officially downgraded itself to the status of a third world country. In my opinion, we have white male billionaire (and lowly multimillionaire) crooks and thugs in total charge of the government. And just like many third world country governments I think these men will rob us blind to enrich themselves and fill their own offshore, tax-free coffers. I think cutting federal spending by $10 trillion over the next ten years by dismantling or diminishing almost every program and agency that benefits the low income and outright poor, the sick, the environment, arts and culture, food, product, and workplace safety, When Janet Yellen’s term as Fed Reserve chair has expired Donald Trump will replace her with yet another white male billionaire. He will control the entire economic system of our country from top to bottom, enabling him and his cronies to hide the robbery of public funds from the Treasury.

As I’ve written before, we don’t recover from this. Now that certain elements within the GOP have perfected how to steal a national election, they’ll never lose another one. If somehow they are defeated in a future election, the social, economic and social damage began by Trump and continued by subsequent Republican administrations will be so great there will be no fixing it. there will be no reversing it any time soon after that, I put the timeline at about maybe 20 years or so. By that time, thanks to all the environmental protection dismantling by Trump, life on earth may be about over anyway thanks to the increase in the earth’s temperature. But I guess all you Trump voters will be happy as a clam, pleased as pumpkins, especially if the Republicans are still in power. Better Red (under a Republican government) AND dead than Blue (under a Democratic government) and alive.

Should “Ladies Only” Always Include Men? Hell No!

This whole non-issue is crap. Chippendale Dancers’ shows were always targeted as “ladies’ night out” entertainment. So what the hell is wrong if Vivica A. Fox wants to have a reality TV show which revives the ’80s for women who either missed out or want to relive it (and both groups don’t want the hassle of driving down to a club or casino and paying to see the show live)?

And so what if Fox says the dancers dance for ladies only and “hell no” to dancing for gays? It’s her goddamn TV show and she can control who gets let in to see it live but she has zero control over who can watch it on TV. And if the ratings remain low because not enough women are watching it and the show’s canceled, then the market has spoken.

And of course the potential irony here is that some of the male strippers employed by the show might be gay themselves, just like there are lesbian strippers who perform for men. Nobody in the audience cares anyway because it’s the visuals, titillation, and fantasies components of the entertainment that matter anyway.

And besides that, there’s a greater issue involved here. What the hell is wrong with women getting together in a venue without men or vice versa? I may be a political liberal but I guess in some ways I’m a social libertarian. It’s both genetic and cultural that in some situations men only want to party with men and women only want to party with women. This behavior is established during childhood and you can observe it everyday. Children will naturally choose which play and activities are co-ed and which are segregated by gender and they will freely switch back and forth at any given time. But the important point here is that it is by their own choice.

Why Black Voters Should Be Supporting Bernie Sanders

A criticism of Bernie Sanders from several black groups is that he has not really talked about racism or otherwise addressing black issues, something they say Hillary Clinton has done.

OK, here’s my response. I’ve listened to Bernie talk for years and I’m currently reading his autobiography. He talks about why this country is so racist, coming to the same conclusion I arrived at independently. Basically, we’re all being played. Poor white sharecroppers and laborers were being played by wealthy Southern landowners, bankers and politicians and we’re being played by the ruling power elite of today. Being played how? By polarizing us into different groups who look across the room or the country with hate at each other. When life is hard and you’re struggling just to survive, many people need someone to blame for their hardships and struggle, a scapegoat. They also need to feel superior to the object of their hate. So, poor whites hate blacks, Hispanics, Muslims, Jews, immigrants, etc., anyone they feel superior to and fear is in danger of taking a piece of the small pie they’re grasping onto.

Blacks and Hispanics hate each other in many communities. Many groups join together and hate gay people. So, we’re all looking across and hating each other instead of stopping to look up and see who are the ones who have pitted us against each other. We’re all rats in an overcrowded maze with no way out and the food and water grow less and less.

Why are we kept pitted against each other like this? Because of all us stopped to think and reason, we’d realize who actually is responsible for all of this. We’d unite and as one huge powerful group rise up and overthrow the power elite, which would be the first step in healing all the rifts between us.

So, this is why Bernie doesn’t concentrate on black issues, or Hispanic issues or any issues which just serve to polarize one group from another. All our issue stem from the same common problems: inequality of wealth and income, lack of a job, working at of a job which pays a living wage and offers benefits, lack of adequate income, lack of adequate housing, lack of affordable college education, etc. If you focus on the basic problems we all face and fix those, racism becomes less of an issue because if just about everybody has theirs, there’s no reason to hate the those who have more than you or for you to try to feel superior to those who have less and you feel are trying to take more of yours.

So, let Hillary talk about black issues. Let her continue to perpetuate the hatred and polarization among the races. Bernie is talking about changing the fundamental issues and institutional inequalities which separate us all so that we can finally unite under the common goal of equality—in every sense of the word—and justice for all. Bernie Sanders for president for ALL of us.

Hillary Clinton Second Wave Feminists Wipe Out On The Third Wave

http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/what-steinem-albright-and-clinton-don%e2%80%99t-get-about-millennial-women/ar-BBpks2o?li=BBnbfcL

The headline to this op-ed piece is misleading. Read down to the lower half of the article and it’s clear the female writer is trying to push two points: 1. Liberal millennial women are voting for Bernie Sanders because they’re too young to know better. 2. Liberal millennial women are ungrateful little brats for failing to respect the holy feminist trio of Clinton, Albright, and Steinem. If it wasn’t for them, your major goal in life would be to have “Mrs.” in front of your name.

And then, there’s this: “The more likely explanation, however, is that young liberal women, like their male counterparts, are attracted to the cool old guy because he’s promising a dream in which the rich have less and the poor have more. Robin Hood is so awesome.”

So all of you liberal millennial women are backsliding. You’re all Maid Marian hoping that someday you will become Mrs. Robin Hood in a May-November marriage.

And to think that the Washington Post was once the paper that exposed Richard M. Nixon and the Watergate scandal. It’s as out of touch with today’s young women as Clinton, Albright, and Steinem (although to her credit, Steinem has walked back her statements, claiming she “misspoke”).

So, do you agree? Are you closing the door on the feminist holy trio because you’ve forgotten they opened it? Or is it because both age and time diminish and tarnish even the strongest (to some) idols?

“But they’re missing the bigger point that had these older women not cut a path for others to enter and expect to be treated fairly in the workplace and elsewhere, these same young women would, indeed, be following the boys in hopes of inserting an “r” between the “M” and the “s” in their titles, as their predecessors had to.”

Or is it as simple as that while third wave feminists appreciate the trailblazing of the second wave feminists, they don’t appreciate the condescending attitudes of members of that much older generation currently raining down on them?
