Bernie Sanders Tone Deaf? It’s Not All Black And White

What do you think? Does Bernie still remain tone deaf to what he says or fails to say to black audiences? Bakari Sellers, one of Bernie’s critics here, was a Hillary Clinton supporter so his criticism can be discounted and discarded The very fact that he supported Clinton shows his own ignorance as to which politicians support black issues and which ones don’t. He totally gets it wrong about Bernie dismissing Obama’s presidency “with utter arrogance and lack of self-awareness.”

Joshua DuBois, is an Obama loyalist whose comments can also be discarded as partisan, being obviously loyal to Obama who really didn’t do that much for black families and individuals during his neoliberal, Bill Clinton 2.0 presidency.

Yes, Obama was the first black president. But please show me all the initiatives his admin pushed that would have benefited black people. What did his attorney general, Eric Holder–a black man who previously worked for Bill Clinton, to do stop mortgage lenders from redlining first time black home mortgage applicants or black homeowners attempting to refi their homes? And how about Obama’s failure to order the DOJ to extract FULL financial retribution for all the homeowners–owned by all ethnicities alike–defrauded out of their homes after the 2007-2008 financial meltdown. And how about Obama’s refusal to make the banks and investment banks (like Goldman Sachs) REALLY pay for decimating retirement accounts through illegal and unethical investment deals? t was Obama’s CEO buddies at Bank of America, Citibank, and JP Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, and others behind those actions who emerged legally and personally financially unscathed

How strongly did he have Holder fight all the Republican Voter ID laws that discriminated heavily against black voters? Or against the Republican-gerrymandered congressional districts that effectively neutralized the black vote in many Red states? Any how many of you remember that Obama signed into law the 2014 Farm Bill, passed by both parties in both houses of Congress, the cut $8.7 BILLION from the SNAP program over 10 years?

THIS is the President Obama that Bernie is tell black people about, if he could only get his message past his tone deaf and partisan black critics? And on a day observing Martin Luther King, Jr.’s assassination 50 years ago, it’s an even more important point to make. The point is that there was finally a black man elected president of the United States, and it didn’t change a thing. So must one be aware of what day it is before one tells the truth? Bernie’s speech in no way denigrated the memory of Dr. King. Just the opposite: it was the perfect day to make his comments, as I’ve already explained.

Another crucial point is that black voters just can’t blindly vote Blue. They–and all Democratic voters–most first demand and then vote for actual liberal politicians and candidates with the vision and guts to make changes to this country that must be made. No more Republicans in Democratic clothing. And the final point, which is a question: why IS it a white politician has to be the one to stand up and say all this to black people?

Donald Trump, An Alleged REAL Crook In The White House

4bdd89633789d7774f5005678703bd9a99c66986

https://newrepublic.com/article/147351/political-corruption-art-deal

“In India, Donald Trump has repeatedly chosen to partner with people who have close connections to “extreme and corrupt politicians,” as the Center for American Progress recently put it, and, in one case, with a far-right elected official himself. A months-long investigation of the Trump Organization’s business partners in India, conducted in collaboration with The Investigative Fund and reporters at the Indian daily newspaper The Hindu, uncovered a long history of lawsuits, police inquiries, and government investigations that contain evidence of potential bribery, fraud, intimidation, illegal land acquisition, tax evasion, and money laundering. Moreover, the Trump Organization’s ties to these partners leave it potentially vulnerable to violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the 1977 law that prohibits U.S. companies or their business partners from bribing, or unduly influencing, foreign officials to advance a business deal. The Trump Organization and its partners in India declined to respond to repeated requests for comment on our findings.”

The linked The New Republic investigative report “Political Corruption and the Art of the Deal” by Anjali Kamat details the business deals that both Donnie Sr. and Jr. entered into with business partners in India with a long history of corruption, including allegations of swindling investors out of over $140 million. Business deals with these partners are still active, and the profits and the influence (going both ways) reaches into the White House.

This allegation of Donnie (I call him Donnie because in my judgment he is not the legitimately-elected President of the United States, and is a person wholly undeserving of respect) being a REAL crook also applies at least to Donnie Jr., only because investigations into the other children Trump (except for Barron–at this time) haven’t yet reported their findings.  But this is not just my opinion. I have facts to back this up, . Intelligent people who oppose Donnie will read this article. The dwindling number of people comprise Donnie’s base, demonstrably not as intelligent as those of us oppose him, will just look at the photo of Donnie Jr, smile and say “That’s his boy!”

If the facts in this report are indeed factual (I’m doing so legal tap dancing here) then Donnie and family give so much meaning to the word “crook” that the spillover will need to be applied to additional synonyms and associated words, like swindlers, heartless humanoids, con men, impeachment and conviction-worthy, traitor…I could go on. But, read the entire article to arm yourselves with solid information with which to bring forth your cases for the need to remove Donnie and his family from office. For you Donnie supporters, there are even more photos for you to look at. Enjoy!

The Rich Daddy Businessman Bond Between Trump And Kushner

Even if found guilty of fraud due to false filings, not much may happen to Kushner. However, this shows why Donnie and Kushner have bonded so tightly. They’re almost the same guy, except I’m sure that Donnie ignores the fact that Jared is Jewish but then Kushner is the very stereotype of a money-hungry, unethical Jews.

Anyway, 1. both guys had wealthy and powerful daddys who greased the skids for them when they started out in NYC real estate. The daddys also financed them out of every bad business decision. Without said daddys neither one would have made it in the business world.

2. Both guys allegedly gleefully defrauded city and federal governments with phony paperwork as well as defrauding and forcing low income renters on government subsidies out of their homes–or denying renters the government benefits they were entitled to by filing those false documents.

However, Kusher was allegedly apparently thinking ahead and choosing hs scapegoats. He never signed any document himself.

Obama WAS The Special Interests President

The story headline “In Chicago, Obama tells young leaders that ‘special interests dominate the debates in Washington’” is is total crap. From day one Obama was all about pleasing special interests by funneling unrestricted bailout funds to Goldman Sachs and the investment/banking industries in general. Yes, TARP was a Bush initiative but Obama and his special interest lackeys, Larry Summers and Timothy Geithner, made it like they were proprietors overseeing kids in a candy store, even giving out handfuls of candy, aka taxpayer funds, to kids like every day was Halloween night. The banksters knowingly and intentionally committed global financial fraud and not one CEO paid the legal price. We all paid for the bailout and not ONE institution was required to change how they do business to prevent it from happening again. Dodd-Frank? Please…

They’re still selling the same derivatives (under new names) and other unsafe “investment products” that are again propelling the financial industry to another meltdown. The housing bubble is building again (checked out home prices lately?) and once again it WILL burst.

Remember Obama’s pushing through of all those trade pacts? We’re now just learning of some of the secret offshore accounts owned by American citizens and corporations housed in Panama banks. Remember how he also tried to push the TPP and the Keystone XL crude oil pipeline? How about his months-long silence and hands off policy with the Dakota Access pipeline?  Additional construction of nuclear plants? Pushing charter schools to the detriment of public schools? The Obama presidency was all about special interests, except for the middle and low income classes. I guess we didn’t hold much special interest for him.

Obama didn’t do a damn thing to unify anyone. If he had, we’d have a Democrat in the White House, a Democratically-controlled Congress, and Merrick Garland, as flawed as he was, would be the 9th Justice sitting on the SCOTUS bench.

The Obama administration will not go down in history for what it was but for its failure to become what it could have been. If his “aspiration” was to unify Blue and Red states, why did he do so much to polarize all of us?

United Airlines Goes Too Far, But The Airline And The CEO May Get Away With It

Dr.-David-Dao

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/david-dao-united-airlines-injuries-reconstructive-surgery-tom-demetrio-concussion-broken-nose-lost-a7682766.html

United Airlines CEO Oscar Muñoz must be forced to resign without his golden parachute (wishful thinking for the latter on my part) and those three thugs who O’Hare and the city of Chicago all “airport cops” need to be fired and brought up on criminal assault charges, besides also being sued in civil court for their violating Dao’s civil rights, their violent behavior and the physical damage they wreaked on Dr. David Dao.

Unfortunately, the worst that might happen to Muñoz is he might lose his $500,000 bonus. Oh well, if the Board of Directors and stockholders allow him to keep his job, he’ll still be more-than-well compensated. To those guys 500 large is chump change. Guys like him more than make up for losses of income like that with dividends from other investments and other forms of corporate compensation.

An attorney for a law firm thinks that UA is on “solid ground legally”. Really? They wanted Dr. Dao’s and the three other seats so staff from a partner airline could take those seats for a connecting flight. Really? United and the airport police gave not one whit that Dao was on his way to Kentucky to treat patients who were waiting expectantly for him. He was intent on performing needed medical services. He was doing something for sick people. And the people who United wanted to give seats to? Employees of a sister airline who just wanted to get someplace as quickly as possible no matter who they inconvenienced. The feeling of corporate entitlement must have been flowing down from the top of the corporate ladder down to them.

But–you don’t take seats away from paying passengers who are already sitting in them. You don’t treat passengers like their illegal aliens that ICE agents are forcibly arresting and removing from the plane (which ICE should be legally barred from doing anyway). And why were only the unclothed and unshorn common rabble chosen to de-seat? Not one frequent flyer sitting in first class was even approached. The big money passengers are always immune from it all, based on their big money and how they or their corporations spend it on United flights and how often. It’s open season on his poor folk, folks.

Dr. Dao will sue United Airlines and collect a very nice settlement unless he is intent on having his day in court. But this is the exactly the kind of incident where the injured and humiliated passenger might either sue the airline, O’Hare, and Rahm Emanuel’s Chicago, or come back to the airport with a gun and take revenge that way.

This is things gone too far as the ultimate result of unfettering the airlines from close federal oversight with the Airline Deregulation Act of 1978. It’s fostered a Wild West attitude has turned the skies and the airports unfriendly for passengers and most profitable for the airlines.  Thanks, Jimmy Carter! This is a stark example of how Corporate America feels its been empowered by the federal government it owns to treat customers how ever the how it wants because the laws are written to allow CEOS to legally get away with instituting these aggressive anti-customer actions. Some stories are calling Dr. Dao case the beginning of the movement to hold corporations legally accountable for their actions and to reverse this feeling of entitlement which makes corporations think they can do whatever they want.

Unfortunately, if Dr. Dao and other passengers who most certainly will file lawsuits against United, the airport, those three cops, and the city will agree to a settlement where the terms are sealed and all parties are forbidden to ever discuss the settlement details. Without United, the airport, and Emanuel’s Chicago being found guilty in a court of law, none of this behavior will change. But isn’t it fortunate for United Airlines that in this post-deregulation era, people will still be forced to fly that airline because there aren’t very many other choices left. For some flight destinations, UA may be the only choice. So interesting the way Congress, the White House, the FAA, and the DOJ has set this up.
