President Donald Trump? It Could Happen

I’m thinking more and more that Donald Trump has a definite shot at winning the election. The biggest reason is, while just about everything he says is asinine, self-aggrandizing, unrealistic, childish, racist, warmongering, outright lies, etc., he sounds “sincere”. For a guy who was raised to feel and think he’s better and more entitled than everyone else, he knows how to make unintelligent and unknowledgeable, racist people believe he’s one of them. They can relate to him. He doesn’t hit heavy on the talking points like Hillary Clinton does. She delivers her talking points with sledgehammers. Trump makes up a lot of what he says on the spot so it is as unrehearsed as it sounds. With the coached talking points he still has a conversational, rah rah manner of speaking that goes over well with his voter base.

Contrast that to Clinton. Watch the video clip of her convention speech. When you hit a talking point like “And we will follow the money” that hard it can only fall flat–which it did for many of us home viewers. If her eyes had bugged out any more I’d worry that her body had been taken over by an alien life form. Maybe it has…

Trump is still hiding his tax returns and still hiding his true physical condition. You can look at the guy and see he’s not a specimen of perfect health. But he’s never stumbled off a curb and he’s never collapsed and been held up by one of his handlers. The image of Clinton’s display of physical weakness combined with the fact that she looks older than her age of 68 will remain in the minds of many voters in November. It seems like Trump is reversing the unofficial Clinton talking point: It’s now becoming voters dislike Trump but they hate Clinton.

Trump is hiding a lot from voters but it seems like this is his own decision based on reasons that would have ruled him out as a nominee in any other election year. But it comes across as him doing it on his own. With Clinton it does come across as a campaign conspiracy. Here’s a woman who talks about transparency yet you still don’t know what’s true and what’s been and is still hidden. Trump claims he’ll do all kinds of things as president and while he won’t be able to do most of them he comes across as being truthful–for Trump. With Clinton when she talks about taking on Wall Street and the banks you know that’ll never happen because all during her Senate career it never did. Only when both she and Trump start their warmongering do you believe them both.

If only Bernie Sanders hadn’t done his quick collapse, not taken the easy, the chicken way out he might’ve wound up being elected president after all.
